11:28 am - five minute post

Busy as ever, at school, gotta gt the girls to the dr. and go to work yet today, but at least I know I'm alive.  During the worst of my depresed, and uncommunicative days, I wasn't really sure, but now I definitely can say that not only am I alive, but that I am glad to be!  Running for the bus now.  Guess that was more of a 90-second post.  Here I go!

2:41 pm - Writer's Block: Peevish
Too many LJers to list have submitted this question—what is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is the fact that logic and common sense are completely lost arts.  Trying to find people who are likeminded in seeking logical and rational solutions to the general problems in life, has become like the proverbial needle in the haystack.  Can we stop being motivated strictly by our entirely subjective 'feelings' and get back to the real world where peoples feelings are simply that, a personal sensation not shared by anyone else?

Holla! Just hooked the computer up in my room now, so maybe I'll get to write a little more often.

how's everyone? I've been so busy lately, but I'm missin' folks. Sorry I didn't make Thanksgiving in March, but I didn't get done painting untill after five and then I was exhausted from that and a night of drinking on Friday. Perhaps next time, and I'm sure I'm gonna host another bbq this year, hopefully bigger and better than the last. This time plan on doing some drinking here in the 'hood. I won't take no for an answer.

I was given the idea to have a garden -digging party and I think that will be about the second week of April weather permitting. So all those willing to lend a hand to my own personal urban redevelopment project are strongly encouraged to lend a hand. We will be digging up the abandoned yard next to mine in preparation to plant food, so this project will definitely give back what is put into it and much, much more. Oh, anyone who can lend tools for this dig will be greatly appreciated as well.

I'll be back on the spot soon. Later, all.

current mood: enthusiastic!

Can you hate someone you've never met?

Thursday my first cousin was murdered. She had some loser boyfriend that she was tring to leave. He shot her at point-blank range in her head, and then continued to shoot her. He called 911 and told them that his girlfriend had been killed. When the police arrived, he was dead from a self-inflicted gushot wound to the head.

I hate this fucker like I have never hated anyone before. I think about how we're going to get him, and then I want tocry again because there's nothing that we can do. My cousins name was Angel but she wasn't one. She had her daughter at the age of fifteen. She was a highschool dropout from then on. She had sold drugs, been a gang member and would fight at the drop of a hat. Angel cussed like a sailor and had a thing for thugs.
Things were changing though. Her daughter who she named Destiny, began to change her. Angel got a regular job and kept it. She went ot school again and got her GED. She had her own apartment and was learning to drive. She went so far as to enroll in school again and pursue a degree in criminal justice, with an eye towards the police academy and then the FBI. She was three months from graduation. She was a good mother, you never saw her without her daughter, no matter how tired and frustrated she was. I miss her already.

On the other hand, I'm consumed with hate for this random worthless piece of shit. He was out on parole for another violent crime. He wasn't even supposed to leave NY. He was a lot older than she was and I hate him with everything in my body. I know it's wrong but I hate his mother and every member of his godforsaken family. If I could do somehting to his family I would. She was only 22 years old, but she had mor going for her thatn all the rest of us. I'm going t do everything in y power to honor her memory.

For you fucker and all those like you FUCK YOU I HATE YOU !!!!!!!!!!! THE HATE I HAVE FOR YOU IS MONOLITHIC!!!! I PISS ON YOU AND YOUR WHOLE FAMILY!!!!
WHEREYOU ARE BURIED WE WILL SHIT ON YOUR GRAVE! YOUR CHILDREN ARE CURSED FOR THE EVIL YOU HAVE DONE!!! YOU COULD DIE A THOUSAND TIMES AND NOT MAKE UP FOR WHAT YOU HAVE STOLEN!!! I HATE YOU!!!!
he stole her fom me and nothieng about him is worth what he has done. HOw can you put out more evilthan you personally are worth? how there are no amswers, this doesn't make sense SHE DIDN'T DESERVE THIS. Words dont' come close, this is meaningless and there will never be justice.

Rest in peace my beautiful cousin, my Angel. It's so sad to be here without you. I'll love you forever and I dedicate the rest of my life to you.

Your Personality Is

Rational (NT)

You are both logical and creative. You are full of ideas.
You are so rational that you analyze everything. This drives people a little crazy!

Intelligence is important to you. You always like to be around smart people.
In fact, you're often a little short with people who don't impress you mentally.

You seem distant to some - but it's usually because you're deep in thought.
Those who understand you best are fellow Rationals.

In love, you tend to approach things with logic. You seek a compatible mate - who is also very intelligent.

At work, you tend to gravitate toward idea building careers - like programming, medicine, or academia.

With others, you are very honest and direct. People often can't take your criticism well.

As far as your looks go, you're coasting on what you were born with. You think fashion is silly.

On weekends, you spend most of your time thinking, experimenting with new ideas, or learning new things.

You Are 80% Boyish and 20% Girlish

You have a tough exterior - and usually a tough interior to match it.
You're no nonsense, logical, and very assertive.
Sometimes you can't understand women at all, even if you're a woman yourself.
You see things rationally, and don't like to let your emotions get the best of you.

Fashionista
48% Tastefulness, 75% Originality, 49% Deliberateness, 31% Sexiness
[Tasteful Original Deliberate Prissy]

One is certain: you have great taste and plenty of ideas. You have clearly defined beliefs about what's good and what's bad in fashion but they are far from banal. Stylish and imaginative, you prefer to inspire admiration than to shock and you mostly succeed. Even if sometimes you'd like to have more courage to put on something absolutely outrageous you do great job in creating a unique look that others look up to. There is a possibility that you work in the fashion industry. If you don't, perhaps you should.

The opposite style from yours is Bar Cruiser [Flamboyant Conventional Random Sexy].

You fit in with:
Spiritualism

Your ideals are mostly spiritual, but in an individualistic way. While spirituality is very important in your life, organized religion itself may not be for you. It is best for you to seek these things on your own terms.

60% spiritual.
40% reason-oriented.

I really wish I could type, then this would actully sound like me. I read back over some stuff, and it doesn't sound like I meant it to sound at all.

Anyway, I'm afraid I won't get a cab from Joey's. i've never lived anywhere that cabs would pick up late at night, so this is a foreign idea to me. But I want to come get drunk, I haven't been drunk in forever.

I've been feeling the yen to drum again and I'm so happy. The last few times I went down there I really felt good, and I think I'm back on here. If it cools off a little, I'll be down there tonight.

Joey, I'll call you tonight or tomorrow to get situated.

Later.

Exhausted, I hope I'm not getting sick.

Oktobeardfest was a riproaring good time, when I left, mine host had a young boy pinned down on the floor and was beating him mercilessly. It's always good to leave on a high note. I think the only person I night have offended was Evon (?)'s mother. If so, my bad. All in all, that's a success.

My brother is coming to town tomorrow so we can clelebrate my other brothers wedding on Saturday. I'a afraid for Aaron, he's marrying a girl just like his mother, and that's really dangerous for him. But there are some mistakes that you just can't stop someone from making, and I think this is one of them. So now I must dress up and go to a Catholic wedding. None of us are Catholic so that's scary in itself. Those churches and rituals and all are very scary.

I just read the DaVinci Codes. I think it was average in plot and writing style/language, but the interesting part is the content and ideas. Even though it's nothing I haven't already heard, I think it's well presented. I don't understand the whole uproar however. It kind of make me think of Salman Rushdie and the whole Satanic Verses fatwa. Religious people are funny. If your religion is real, it won't matter if someone write a fictitious story about something that may or may not have happened. I actually belive that most of the things that are discussed in there are true, but I dont' see how that would threaten Christianity. I also dont' think it will be a good movie, decause there's too much information in it.
Thanks for reading my book report that gives nothing away.

tomorrow I'll be planting tulips and hyacinths with my new shovel. That might not soud exciting, but that's how I feel. I love making things grow.
I'm too sleepy to continue. Good thing i cooked todays dinner yesterday.
Oh, I did have to yell at my boss today, he kept touching my arm while he was talking to me. I don't like that sort of thing, especially from such an obviously dirty old man. It came out sort of like stoptouchingmestoptouchingmeSTOPTOUCHINGME!!! he left, but I think I'm definitely working towards getitng on the 'bad' list. Surprise.
Later,ya'll
